The Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08 released by EA should play fine on. One has windows 7 tiger woods 2007 will not run, 2008 will run but very slow response. As it's a new PC, the graphics chip may not be powerful enough,.

I am so glad to have found this program - there are several older games I can think of that I've always struggled to get working, and this looks like the answer.
Currently, I'm playing Tiger Woods PGA TOUR 08 (by EA Sports), and it doesn't seem to work so well, at least while I emulate it in VMWare. I can't run it natively (on Windows 8.1) because the game immediately reported that I didn't have enough video memory (I do). So I installed it into a Windows XP virtual machine, and it worked ok. Usually though, when I play a course (or when 3D rendering kicks in), the entire screen would be black, sounds still playing. I found that alt-tabbing out and back in would fix this for the session, but it does take awhile to do, so I was hoping I could fix that with dxwnd.
So far, it does good with aligning the mouse in windowed mode. I decided to do windowed since hopefully that would fix the issue - and when I use the 'Primary Buffer' DirectX emulation mode, it sort of does fix the black screen problem. I'll be able to see mostly everything, but oddly, the ground textures will be black or missing.
I guess my question is, has anyone experienced problems with certain textures becoming black or disappearing, and how can this be fixed?
Product Information
Intended to capture the attention of the MySpace and YouTube generation, EA Tiburon has upgraded the character customization and online play in Tiger Woods PGA Tour 08. Utilizing the GamerNet online community, players can view, create, and play user-created content. Both offline and online gamers can use the 'Game Face' system to develop a character for use on the green. By uploading photos, players can create an avatar that looks exactly like them or alter their appearance with different hairstyles, clothing, facial features, and accessories. As single-gamers work through 15 courses including Boston, Westchester, and Cog Hill, they might make a difficult shot that is worthy of copying. Players can save the shot, and upload it onto GamerNet for others to view. After a point value is assigned to the shot, other gamers can attempt to beat the high score and earn points of their own. Additionally, there are themed channels that players can visit including 'Grip It and Rip It,' 'Single Hole Challenge,' '18 Hole Showdown,' and 'Nine Hole Challenge.'
